Our national team, participating in the 56th International Physics Olympiad on behalf of Türkiye, made our country proud by returning with medals.
At the 56th International Physics Olympiad—held this year from July 4 to 12, 2026, in Bucaramanga, Colombia, where 381 students from 87 countries competed—our students representing our country won 5 silver medals.
Among the students trained through TÜBİTAK's 2202 Science Olympiads Program, Eren Akarsu, Mert Andaç Karan, Rüzgar Kuşaklı, Şenol Tarhan and Yiğit Kocawon silver medals.
We congratulate all our students who successfully represented our country, and we extend our gratitude to their families, teachers, and all the academics involved in their training, especially our Olympiad Committee Chairs, who contributed to this process.
