TÜBİTAK Destekli Bilim Merkezleri Çalışanları Başlangıç Eğitimi kapsamında, 12-14 Nisan tarihleri arasında Şanlıurfa Bilim Merkezinde gerçekleştirilen programda, ülke genelindeki 21 bilim merkezinden gelen 71 katılımcı ağırlandı.

Alanında uzman akademisyenler, kurum yöneticileri ve deneyimli eğitmenler eşliğinde düzenlenen eğitimlerde katılımcılar, bilgi ve deneyimlerini artırma fırsatı buldu. Eğitmenlere yönelik olarak planlanan bu program; bilim merkezlerindeki tüm unsurların etkili ve aktif kullanımını desteklemeyi amaçlıyor. Sergi alanlarının ve atölyelerin verimli kullanımı, işletme ve operasyonel süreçlerin yönetimi, etkili iletişim ve ziyaretçiyle bağ kurma gibi konular, uygulamalı biçimde ele alındı.

Eğitmenler, Bilimsel Merakın Temsilcisi

TÜBİTAK Bilim ve Toplum Başkanı Ömer Kökçam, programla ilgili yaptığı değerlendirmede şu ifadeleri kullandı:

“Eğitmenlerin niteliklerini artırarak bilim merkezlerinin verimliliğini ve sürdürülebilirliğini sağlama hedefimize adım adım ilerliyoruz. Bu kapsamda 2024 yılı itibarıyla başlattığımız eğitmen eğitimlerinin dördüncüsünü Şanlıurfa’da gerçekleştirdik. Yıl boyunca bu eğitimlere düzenli olarak devam edeceğiz. Ayrıca; proje geliştirme, yapay zeka, planetaryum, bilim şovu gibi tematik alanlarda da eğitimler sunacağız. Sadece eğitmenler değil, bilim merkezi yöneticilerine yönelik eğitimler de planlıyoruz. Yakın zamanda hayata geçireceğimiz Bilim İletişimi Akademisi ile bu süreci daha da güçlendireceğiz.”

“TÜBİTAK, bilim ve teknoloji üreten bir Türkiye hedefi doğrultusunda, Milli Teknoloji Hamlesi kapsamında bilim merkezlerinin sayısını ve niteliğini artırmaya devam ediyor” diyen Kökçam, “Dünyadaki bireysel örneklerden farklı olarak, Türkiye’deki bilim merkezleri TÜBİTAK koordinasyonunda bütüncül bir yaklaşımla yapılandırılıyor. Bugün 19 ilde faaliyet gösteren 36 bilim merkezi; TEKNOFEST, bilim söyleşileri, bilim şenlikleri ve insanlı ilk uzay misyonu gibi birçok önemli etkinlikte TÜBİTAK çatısı altında birlikte çalışarak güçlü bir bilim iletişimi ekosistemi oluşturuyor.” İfadelerini kullandı. 

Eğitmenlerin Rolü Nedir?

Bilimsel bilgiyi toplumla buluşturma sürecinde kilit rol üstlenen eğitmenler; yalnızca sergileri anlatan rehberler değil, aynı zamanda gözlem yapmaya teşvik eden, sürprizler kurgulayan, merak uyandıran, bilimsel olayları doğru çerçeveye yerleştiren ve kalıcı öğrenmeyi destekleyen bilim iletişimi uzmanlarıdır.

Atölye, laboratuvar, bilim şovu, drama gibi etkinlik alanlarında aktif rol alan eğitmenlerden; sergi tasarımına katkı sunmaları, bozulan sergilerin takibi, okul gezilerine yönelik etkinlik ve materyal geliştirmeleri gibi teknik ve pedagojik birçok katkı da bekleniyor. Bu nedenle eğitim programları, onların alana güçlü bir başlangıç yapmalarını desteklemeyi hedefliyor.

Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanı Mehmet Fatih Kacır, TÜBİTAK SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm 2025 yılı 1. Dönem Çağrısının başvuruya açıldığını belirterek, “Sanayide yeşil dönüşüm için çalışmaya, Türkiye’nin kalkınma yolculuğuna çevre dostu uygulamalarla hız vermeye devam edeceğiz.” dedi. 

Bakan Kacır, TÜBİTAK SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm 2025 yılı 1. Dönem Çağrısının başvuruya açıldığını duyurdu. Kacır, sosyal medya hesabı üzerinden konuya ilişkin paylaştığı mesajında şu ifadeleri kullandı: 

“Dünya Bankası iş birliği ile yürüttüğümüz Türkiye Yeşil Sanayi Projesi kapsamında yeşil dönüşüm odaklı Ar-Ge ve yenilik projelerini destekliyoruz. TÜBİTAK SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm 2025 yılı 1. Dönem Çağrısı başvuruya açıldı. Sanayide yeşil dönüşüm için çalışmaya, Türkiye’nin kalkınma yolculuğuna çevre dostu uygulamalarla hız vermeye devam edeceğiz.” 

SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm Programı

Koordinatörlüğünü Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı’nın yürüttüğü Dünya Bankası Türkiye Yeşil Sanayi Projesi kapsamında özel sektörün yeşil dönüşüme yönelik ürün veya süreç geliştirme faaliyetleri TÜBİTAK-TEYDEB tarafından destekleniyor. Bu amaçla hayata geçirilen Sanayi Ar-Ge Projeleri İçin Geri Ödemeli ve Hibe Destek Programı kapsamında SAYEM Yeşil Dönüşüm programının yeni çağrısı 16 Nisan 2025 itibari ile açıldı. Çağrıya başvurular 16 Haziran 2025 tarihine kadar alınacak. 

Sanayiye Yönelik Ar-Ge ve Yenilik Ağları Desteklenecek

Bu çağrı kapsamında, özel sektör, üniversite ve kamu iş birliğiyle yenilik platformları oluşturularak, Türkiye’nin yeşil büyümesine katkı sağlayacak katma değeri yüksek ürün veya ürün grubu geliştirilmesi için bir teknoloji ekosistemi olan Sanayiye Yönelik Ar-Ge ve Yenilik Ağları desteklenecek. Özel sektör öncülüğünde, üniversite ve kamu iş birliğiyle ihtisaslaşmış bir Ar-Ge ve Yenilik Platformunun oluşturulması, bu platform aracılığıyla Ürünleştirme Yol Haritalarının (ÜYH) oluşturulması ve bu Ürünleştirme Yol Haritaları çerçevesinde yeşil dönüşüme yönelik ürün veya ürün grubu geliştirilmesine yönelik Ürünleştirme Programları (ÜPG) desteklenecek. 

Üst Limit 300 Milyon TL

Program süresi 36 ay olup, platform başına program önerisi için üst limit 300 milyon TL’dir. Platformda yer alacak olan özel sektör kuruluşları hibe ve geri ödemeli olarak, üniversiteler ve araştırma kurumları yüzde 100 hibe olarak destek alabilecekler. Platformda yer alacak kuruluşlar için bütçe üst limiti KOBİ’ler için 15 milyon TL, büyük ölçekli kuruluşlar için 60 milyon TL, üniversiteler ve araştırma kurumları için 10 milyon TL.

Further improvements have been made on the 1002-A Short-term Support Module and the 1002-B Emergency Support Module conducted by the Directorate for Research Funding Programmes (ARDEB). In this context, online applications of project proposals  which will be submitted with the existing application forms must be completed from the ARDEB Project Application System (PBS) until 27/04/2025 23.59 (UTC+3) . E-signature processes of the project proposals confirmed before 27/04/2025 23.59 (UTC+3) can be completed after this date. As of 28/04/2025, it will not be possible to apply to 1002 – Short-term Support Programme with the existing application forms.

Information regarding the new processes and application forms of the 1002-A Short-term Support Module and the 1002-B Emergency Support Module will be announced after 28/04/2025.

Araştırma Destek Programları Başkanlığı tarafından 1002-Hızlı Destek Programı altında yürütülen 1002-A Hızlı Destek Modülü ve 1002-B Acil Destek Modülü kapsamında iyileştirme çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda, mevcut başvuru formları ile sunulacak proje önerilerine ilişkin çevrim içi başvuruların ARDEB Proje Başvuru Sistemi (PBS) üzerinden 27/04/2025 saat 23.59’a kadar tamamlanması gerekmektedir. 27/04/2025 saat 23.59’a kadar onaylanan proje başvurularının elektronik imza süreçlerinin bu tarihten sonra tamamlanabilmesi mümkündür. 28/04/2025 tarihinden itibaren mevcut formlar ile başvuru yapılması mümkün olamayacaktır. 

1002-A Hızlı Destek Modülü ve 1002-B Acil Destek Modülünün yeni süreçlerine ve başvuru formlarına ilişkin bilgilendirme 28/04/2025 tarihinden sonra duyurulacaktır.

Mission of the international activities conducted by TÜBİTAK's Directorate of International Cooperation is to enhance and sustain Türkiye's science and technology capabilities in alignment with our national priorities and foreign policy through:

• Establishing and managing national coordination for multilateral and bilateral international cooperation programs,
• Facilitating the development, support, and implementation of international cooperation projects,
• Conducting scientist exchange programs,
• Ensuring effective representation of Türkiye in scientific and technological platforms, and
• Carrying out science diplomacy activities.

TÜBİTAK’s Directorate of International Cooperation fulfills this mission through the Directorate of Bilateral and Multilateral Relations (DoBMR) and the Directorate for EU Framework Programs (DoEUFP).

The Directorate of Bilateral and Multilateral Relations (BMR) operates under TÜBİTAK’s Directorate of International Cooperation and is responsible for managing cooperation activities with bilateral, regional, and international organizations.

DoBMR Activities:

• Organizing and coordinating meetings with foreign delegations in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant institutions,
• Supporting the preparation and signing of international science, technology, and innovation (STI) agreements, protocols, and program texts,
• Evaluating and implementing STI project requests under bilateral cooperation agreements,
• Providing financial support for events such as expert exchanges, joint scientific meetings, and study visits under agreements,
• Facilitating Turkish scientists' participation in activities organized by various European research programs, regional organizations, and international institutions,
• Monitoring, announcing, and supporting participation in international STI programs.

The EU Framework Programs (EU FPs) are among the European Community Programs, created to align and harmonize Europe’s science and technology policies and practices. Established in 1984, the EU FP is the world’s largest civil research program, aimed at strengthening Europe’s research and technological development capacity, promoting university-industry collaboration, and fostering cooperation across various fields between EU member states, candidate countries, and other partner nations.

The national coordination of the EU FP is carried out by TÜBİTAK’s Directorate for EU Framework Programs (EUFP), which officially serves as the National Coordination Office for the European Commission’s EU FP-related activities.

DoEUFP Activities:

• Informing stakeholders about the EU FPs and organizing events to promote participation,
• Managing projects related to the EU FP,
• Administering and monitoring TÜBİTAK grants for the EU FP,
• Assisting with partner searches for projects,
• Organizing activities to facilitate researcher mobility, and
• Engaging in initiatives on financial and legal arrangements in the fields of science, technology, and innovation.

Activities under the second phase of the Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP), implemented by TÜBİTAK in collaboration with UNIDO, will continue in 2025. Key national stakeholders of the programme include the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

In the second phase of the project, in addition to transforming cleantech solutions into innovative ventures through the accelerator and competition, the programme aims to support cleantech entrepreneurs in preparing for national and global markets through components such as technology validation and investment readiness.

Applications for the GCIP Türkiye 2025 Accelerator will be accepted between 16 April 2025 and 28 May 2025. The application deadline is 23:59 (UTC +3) on 28 May 2025.

Dedicated Support for Women Entrepreneurs from the Ministry of Family and Social Services within GCIP Türkiye 2025

The GCIP Türkiye 2025 Accelerator Programme aims to enhance the success of women entrepreneurs in cleantech through tailored accelerator activities.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the following categories of support will be provided to women entrepreneurs:

• Support for Pioneering Woman Entrepreneur in Social Impact: 275.000 TRY

• Most Innovative Woman Entrepreneur Support: 275.000 TRY

• Best Progressing Woman Entrepreneur Support: 275.000 TRY

• Young Woman Entrepreneur Support: 275.000 TRY

To further support the commercialization, investment readiness, and internationalization of products developed by women entrepreneurs in the cleantech domain, a "Cleantech Investment Readiness and Internationalization Module for Women Entrepreneurs" will be carried out.

Among the teams selected for the GCIP Accelerators, those with at least one female founder or a female senior executive will be eligible for this module.

Within the scope of the module, experts will assess the investment readiness of participating ventures through a multidimensional evaluation. Specialized mentors will be assigned based on specific needs, and the module will include masterclasses and investor meetings.

Call for the Inclusive Green Transition 2025 Accelerator under the Project "Supporting the Inclusion of Migrants in Türkiye’s Transition to a Green Economy"

Alongside with the GCIP Türkiye 2025 Accelerator Call, the “Inclusive Green Transition 2025 Accelerator Call” will also be launched within the scope of the project “Supporting the Inclusion of Migrants in Türkiye’s Transition to a Green Economy”, jointly implemented by TÜBİTAK and UNIDO and funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF). This new accelerator was inspired by the GCIP Türkiye model and will accept applications during the same application period.

The Inclusive Green Transition Accelerator Call is open to technology-based innovative solutions that contribute to the creation of environmentally friendly, sustainable, and climate-neutral societies.

Teams selected through the evaluation panels under both GCIP Türkiye 2025 and the Inclusive Green Transition Accelerator Calls will have the opportunity to enhance their innovative cleantech business ideas through training and mentorship offered during the GCIP Türkiye 2025 National Academy in July 2025.

Between July and November 2025, selected teams will participate in online training sessions delivered by The Network for Global Innovation (NGIN), GCIP’s global partner responsible for accelerator content. Teams will also work on deliverables throughout the training, guided by general and thematic mentors assigned to each team.

Alongside with the GCIP Türkiye 2025 Accelerator Call, the “Inclusive Green Transition 2025 Accelerator Call” will also be launched within the scope of the project “Supporting the Inclusion of Migrants in Türkiye’s Transition to a Green Economy”, jointly implemented by TÜBİTAK and UNIDO and funded by the Multi-Partner Trust Fund (MPTF). This new accelerator was inspired by the GCIP Türkiye model and will accept applications during the same application period.

The Inclusive Green Transition Accelerator Call is open to technology-based innovative solutions that contribute to the creation of environmentally friendly, sustainable, and climate-neutral societies.

Applications for the Inclusive Green Transition 2025 Accelerator will be accepted until the 5 June 2025.  The application deadline is 23:59 (UTC +3) on 5 June 2025.

Teams selected through the evaluation panels under both GCIP Türkiye 2025 and the Inclusive Green Transition Accelerator Calls will have the opportunity to enhance their innovative cleantech business ideas through training and mentorship offered during the GCIP Türkiye 2025 National Academy in July 2025.

Between July and November 2025, selected teams will participate in online training sessions delivered by The Network for Global Innovation (NGIN), GCIP’s global partner responsible for accelerator content. Teams will also work on deliverables throughout the training, guided by general and thematic mentors assigned to each team.

At the end of the Inclusive Green Transition 2025 Accelerator,  winning teams will be awarded by TÜBİTAK. Awards that will be presented by TÜBİTAK, are below: 

• First Prize: 600.000 TRY
• Second Prize: 450.000 TRY
• Third Prize: 300.000 TRY

The 36^th call of the IRA-SME (International Research Activities by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) Network aims to support international research, development and innovation projects involving small and medium-sized enterprises.

The call, which will be open until 24 September 2025, allows bilateral and multilateral cooperation with SMEs in Austria, Germany, Belgium (Flanders and Walloon Regions), Brazil, Czechia, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

In addition to industry-academia cooperation is recommended for applications from Türkiye to the call, SME-SME cooperation projects involving at least 2 call partner countries can be supported.

IRA-SME (International Research Activities by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) Ağının 36. çağrısı ile küçük ve orta ölçekli işletmelerin  (KOBİ) dâhil olduğu uluslararası araştırma, geliştirme ve yenilik projelerinin desteklenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

24 Eylül 2025 tarihine kadar açık kalacak olan çağrı ile  Almanya, Avusturya, Belçika (Flaman ve Valon Bölgeleri), Brezilya, Çekya, Lüksemburg ve İsviçre’de yer alan KOBİ’ler ile ikili ve çok taraflı işbirliğine olanak tanınmaktadır.

Çağrıya ülkemizden yapılacak başvurularda sanayi-akademi işbirliği önerilmekle birlikte çağrı ortağı en az 2 ülkenin yer aldığı KOBİ-KOBİ işbirliği projeleri desteklenebilecektir.

This year, 24 of our students with 14 projects participated in the International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition representing our country. The 3 of our students who are owners of 3 projects won the grand awards given by the ISEF organization and special awards given by various organizations. Two of our projects that successfully represented our country won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.

Of the 24 students who represented our country with 14 projects in the 75th International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Competition held in Columbus, USA between May 10-16, 2025; 3 of our students, the owners of 3 projects, won the grand prizes and special prizes given by the ISEF organization. Two of our students won both the special award and the ISEF grand award.

Our ISEF Grand Award Winners:

Ela Doruk KORKMAZ won the Fourth Place award in the “Cellular and Molecular Biology” category with her project titled “Investigation of Potential Anti-Cancer Impacts of Coffee Bean-Derived Exosomes Through Anti-Proliferative and Apoptosis Inducing Effects on Melanoma Skin Cancer Cells via Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Signaling Pathway”,

Reyyan ÇİFCİ won the Fourth Place award in the “Chemistry” category with her project titled “Real-Time Wound Monitoring and Bioactive Healing Accelerator via Intelligent Biosensor Bandage: Carbon Dot Embedded Novel Grape Marc Hydrogel”.

TÜBİTAK Special Awards

In addition, our institution has been participating in the competition as an ISEF Special Award Organization since 2023, and as a result of the evaluations made this year, 5 projects selected in the fields of “Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Astronomy and Systems Software” were awarded the TÜBİTAK Special Award. Projects that receive special awards will be awarded 1,000 US dollars per project.

In the field of “Chemistry” students named Nichaphat Aueng-Aree, Chayada Wisuttirattanamanee and Pongpop Sangsawang from Thailand with project titled “Photoswitchable Wetting Properties in Bifunctional Metavanadate-Promoted Chitosan/Cassava Biopolymer Films: A Mechanistic Study”, 

In the field of “Mathematics”, a student named Liqian Ying from Singapore with project titled “Make24: Elegant Elementary Bounds for a Numbers Game”,

In the field of “Physics and Astronomy”, a student named Tristan Rei Cao from the United States with project titled “Emergent Quantum Inductance in a Chiral Orbital Current State: Next-Generation Quantum Materials and Applications”,

In the “Systems Software” category, a student named Ram Sivaraman from the United States with project titled “HM-Detect: Murmur Detection and Classification Methodology Using A Novel C^2-LSTM Architecture for Multi-Modal Signals.”

was deemed worthy of the special award.

The International Regeneron ISEF Science and Engineering Fair is the world's largest science competition organized by the Society for Science & the Public, in collaboration with many other corporate and academic sponsors, at the high school level in various cities in the United States. 1,657 students with 1,304 projects from 62 countries participated in the competition, which was held for the 75th time this year in Columbus, USA.

Uluslararası Regeneron ISEF Bilim ve Mühendislik Yarışmasına ülkemizi temsilen bu yıl 14 proje ile 24 öğrencimiz katıldı. 3 projenin sahibi 3 öğrencimiz ISEF organizasyonu tarafından verilen büyük ödüllerin ve çeşitli kuruluşlar tarafından verilen özel ödüllerin sahibi oldu. Ülkemizi başarıyla temsil eden projelerimizde ikisi hem özel ödülü hem ISEF büyük ödülünü birlikte kazandı.
